Mr Adil Mubarak

As the Vice President Operations at RedDoorz, Adil is responsible for the strategic direction of the hospitality division alongside improving SOPs to drive efficiencies including structures, branding, processes, and performance management systems. Adil is also responsible for the growth and spearheading the new project of RedDoorz two new brands, Sans Hotels and a Midscale brand Sunerra Hotels.

In less than 10 years having gained cutting-edge and professional experiences, Adil has left footprints in various top-level managerial roles at prominent 5-star hotels like Marina Bay Sands, Swissôtel The Stamford & Fairmont Singapore and InterContinental. He also has strong corporate exposure in Pan Pacific Hotel Group doing hotel operations and openings.

Previously he was a top student for independent research during completion of his Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management from the prestigious hotel school in the world Glion Institute of Higher Education, Switzerland then he continued his Master in Certificate in Financial Management and Hotel Revenue Management from Cornell University, USA.

Mr Loh Lik Peng

Dynamic hotelier and restaurateur, Loh Lik Peng was born in Dublin, Ireland on May 4, 1972 to Singapore parents who were practicing medicine there at the time. He attended Law school in England, University of Sheffield and Postgraduate at London School of Economics followed by bar exams in London before returning to Singapore in 1997. Loh became a corporate litigator upon his return before leaving the profession to step into the hospitality industry. Since then, Loh has started ventures across Singapore, Shanghai, London and Sydney under the Unlisted Collection.

In 2004, the Singapore Tourism Board awarded Loh with the “New Tourism Entrepreneur Award” for his work in transforming a simple shop house into Hotel 1929. He was once again awarded the “Tourism Entrepreneur of the Year” award at the Singapore Experience Awards 2011, the most prestigious awards platform in Singapore’s tourism industry. In 2016, he was awarded World Gourmet Summit’s “Lifetime Achievement Award” which recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions in the food and beverage industry.

Dr Detlev Remy

Dr. Detlev Remy works as Associate Professor for the Singapore Institute of Technology, SIT, Singapore. He is teaching Revenue Management, Data Analytics and Digital Marketing whilst researching on Pricing and Revenue Management related topics.

He holds a Masters in Marketing from University College Cork, Ireland, and a Doctorate (DBA) from the University of Surrey, UK.

His research interests are revenue management metrics and developments, its alignment with digital marketing, and data analytics. He has published in international journals such as the International Journal of Leisure and Tourism marketing.

Dr. Detlev Remy is also regularly invited to attend major Revenue and Pricing conferences, giving speeches on revenue management related topics, additionally he is giving guest lectures in marketing and other subject areas to different educational organisations, for example to Latvian Universities and German hotel schools, and businesses too.

Additionally he runs his own consultancy business, “Remy Consult”, advising international beverage, tourism and hospitality businesses, and providing executive education to a variety of stakeholders.

Mr Jesper Palmqvist

Area Director – Asia Pacific, STR

Jesper Palmqvist leads STR in the Asia Pacific Region since 2013, and from the regional headquarters in Singapore he oversees teams across China, Japan, Australia, Singapore, India and Indonesia. Together with the team he grows and services the renowned and trusted STR data, while simplifying the numbers through storytelling across hospitality, investment, vendors, Government and academia.

His career spans across hospitality, online travel and IT since the mid-90s, leading efforts in distribution, sales & marketing, strategy and contracting.

Originally from Sweden, Jesper is an avid musician and technophile and he frequently presents and discusses the latest trends and updates at industry events, as well as providing insights for media outlets.

STR, a CoStar Group company [NASDAQ: CSGP], tracks daily historic and future supply and demand data as well as monthly financial data for the hospitality industry and provide valuable market share analysis for global hotel and investment companies and agencies across the globe.

Darrell Tan has more than 15 years’ experience in the hotel industry with a decade in regional roles and has seen successful asset enhancements in the Asia Pacific region that added value to hotel operations and asset value. He is presently the head of development planning and feasibility for Radisson Hotel Group Asia Pacific whilst also an adjunct trainer for SHATEC. His previous roles spanned Hotel Performance to Hotel Finance and Audit. As a strong believer of lifelong learning, he has recently upgraded himself with an Executive MBA. Outside of work, he is an avid cyclist and an environmentalist at heart.
