Hospitality students (DHA-05-23A, DHA-05-23B, DHA-05-23H) delved beyond hotel housekeeping curriculum to learn about King Koil Singapore's sustainable hospitality solutions.

King Koil works closely with leading hoteliers and top hotels here to provide guests with indulgent, quality sleep! Students also understood what goes into delivering comfortable bed products that are compliant with standard tests of safety, quality and durability: it begins from understanding the hotel's needs and following through the entire process from manufacturing to product testing and feedback!

They also got a peek into King Koil's latest environmental sustainability journey, including:

  • Eco-conscious packaging - Shifting from Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) to Polyethylene (PE) packaging.
  • Eco-friendly materials - Using bark of rubber, bamboo and eucalyptus trees as well as cotton to create a blend of virgin and recycled fibres.
  • Greenifying transport & logistics - Multi-stop routes are optimised for reduced CO2 emissions.
  • Mattress recycling - Springs are melted and upcycled.
