SHATEC International Education Scholarship (SIES)

Established by the Singapore Hotel Association (SHA) to be the preferred institution for hospitality and tourism studies, SHATEC plays a significant role in transforming the workforce of the regional hospitality industry through productivity training and leadership development.

The SHATEC International Education Scholarship is part of SHATEC’s commitment to recognise international students of high calibre and to develop their full potential for rewarding careers in the Hospitality and Tourism industry. The scholarships are awarded to qualified Scholars on the basis of academic merit, leadership potential, special talents and other strong personal attributes.

Eligibility Criteria
The SHATEC International Education Scholarship is open to international students with outstanding academic achievements, passion for learning, commitment to personal development and involvement in extra-curricular activities.

Selection Process
Shortlisted applicants to the scholarship will be evaluated through an interview by the SHATEC Scholarship Committee. Successful applicants will fulfil the obligations as stated in the Letter of Offer (Scholarship).

Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.

Scholarship Value
Each Scholarship is worth up to 20% of the total course fees payable (excludes miscellaneous fees). There is no bond attached to the scholarship.

Application Period
The SHATEC International Education Scholarship is open throughout the year. However, applicants are required to submit their applications at least 6 weeks before course commencement.

Applicants must separately seek admission to their programmes of choice and must be accepted for admission before being awarded the scholarship.
