In line with the Singapore Green Plan 2030, the Hotel Sustainability Roadmap by Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Singapore Hotel Association (SHA) envisions a leading sustainable hotel industry that is transformative as well as drives competitiveness and growth.

Keynote Speaker and Panellist Ms Jeannie Lim Ms Jeannie Lim leads policy and strategy matters across the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) including strategic planning; incentive policy; human capital and sustainability strategies for the Tourism Sector. Jeannie also drives industry development and regulatory efforts for hotels, cruise, travel agents and tourist guides. In addition, she oversees infrastructure planning and management of key tourism assets like the integrated resorts, cruise terminals and MICE venues. |

Panellist Ms Christine Toguchi Ms Christine Toguchi is a marketing and professional development consultant with a multi-faceted career in Hospitality and Tourism in APAC and the USA. She has in-depth knowledge and experience in brand development strategy, CRM, and omnichannel marketing. Christine believes that “leadership and learning are inextricably linked” and actively pursues opportunities to deepen her perspective on global issues that impact ecological, social, and cultural wellbeing. With a keen interest in sustainable tourism (ST) and responsible business practices, her client projects focus on charting new pathways to successful ST outcomes. |

Panellist Ms Jessie Lim Ms Jessie Lim amassed over 17 years of tourism industry experience both locally and overseas in events management, destination management, MICE and catering sales. In 2006, she had the opportunity to be part of the Singapore Tourism Board team that lends support to foreign MICE companies for setting up offices in Singapore. The time spent with STB also saw her leading the launch for the inaugural Singapore Business Events Awards to promote the MICE industry. In her hospitality career track record, Jessie has held management positions with several international hotel groups including Accor, Park Hotel Group and Hilton Hotels & Resorts. |

Panellist Mr Roger Simons Mr Roger Simons is the Director of Sustainability at Marina Bay Sands, where he helps drive sustainability initiatives in areas including property performance, product innovation, partnerships, certifications, staff and consumer engagement across the integrated resort. Prior to joining Marina Bay Sands in 2017, Roger was the Regional Sustainability Director (APAC) for MCI Group working with leading clients, destinations and venues to craft sustainable business tourism strategies. Roger is a Resource Person on Sustainable Tourism for the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) Leaders Programme (CIFAL) and sits on Nanyang Polytechnic’s School of Business Management, Hospitality & Tourism Industry Panel. He is also a judge for Singapore's Green School Awards Assessment Committee and Past Chair of the Green Meeting Industry Council (GMIC) and co-chair of Singapore's National Environment Authority MICE Recycling Taskforce. |
Moderator Mr Tang Yan Lim Mr Tang Yan Lim has amassed 28 years of hospitality industry and training experience. Before joining SHATEC, he worked at Four Seasons Hotel, Fullerton Hotel and Mandarin Oriental in Singapore, as well as The Pierre and Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York. Yan brought his expertise as an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to chart a new role in training and development. He has held the positions of course developer and trainer at Pathlight School of Autism and lecturer at Tourism Management Institute of Singapore (TMIS), as well as conducted leadership and managerial workshops for hospitality industry practitioners to enhance their value, productivity and employability. |
