Demonstrate Baking Techniques, Mixing Methods and Piping Skills


Upon successful completion of this unit, trainees will be able to apply the knowledge and skills in basic baking techniques, mixing methods, and piping skills.

Course Duration & Structure

The total duration is 22 hours. This includes:

  • Classroom Training – 20 hours
  • Assessment – 2 hours

Theory and practical assessments will be conducted.


Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

Course Outline

Topics include:

  1. Identify baking tools and equipment
  2. Prepare baking equipment
  3. Prepare baking ingredients
  4. Apply mixing, piping and cooking methods
  5. Reinstate work station in accordance with the organisational procedures and recipes, food and Workplace Safety and Health requirements
  6. Hands-on Practical Sessions (Festive special only for 2019! – Items are subject to change thereafter):
