SHATEC aims to provide a conducive and nurturing environment to support students in the practical aspects of student life at SHATEC. These support services are broadly categorized into 6 main areas:
Induction
- Matriculation and Orientation programmes
- Students’ Fee Protection Scheme and Medical Insurance
- Medical Checkup
- International students’ services (e.g. advice on living Singapore, accommodation, Student’s Pass application – iPASS)
- Training supplies (e.g. uniforms, course manuals, etc)
Well-Being
- Scholarships
- Bursaries
- Other financial assistance schemes such as Needy Student Fund
- Wellness programmes
- External counselling services
- Feedback management and dispute resolution
Educational Facilities and Resources
- Students’ facilities (e.g. lockers, students’ lounge, vending machines)
- Library services (include printing, photocopying, binding and laminating)
- Computing and Wi-Fi services
- Students’ school email accounts
- Noticeboards
Extra-curricular activities
- Recreation activities (e.g. interclass sports events, Youth Day celebrations)
- Community events and social responsibility activities
- Enrichment programmes (e.g. overseas study trips, industrial visits, masterclasses)

Located at level 2, the Pakir Resource Centre provides a comprehensive selection of reading materials under its loan and reference sections. Since 2012, SHATEC has been an active member of the National Library Board “Drop Everything And Read” (DEAR) Programme and continually supplement in-house collections with up-to-date titles from the public libraries. The Pakir Resource Centre also offers facilities and services such as media corner, colour-printing, laminating etc.

Monday – Friday (except Public Holidays) 9.00 a.m. to 5.00p.m.

Binding | $2.00 per set (up to 105 pages, includes 1 binding ring and 2 transparent/opaque covers) |
Notice
- Silence must be observed in the library.
- All bags must be deposited in the allocated storage area upon entry into Pakir Resource Centre.
- Food and drinks are not allowed in Pakir Resource Centre.
- Library materials must not be removed from the library unless they have been properly issued by a library staff.
- Only cash payment will be accepted.
Students who experience personal difficulties may approach Course Tutors or Student Administration for support and advice. SHATEC partners the following professional counselling service provider(s) for students with exceptional difficulties:
